Apple and Cisco have announced a new partnership that will result in the creation of a "fast lane" for iOS devices in enterprises using a Cisco network. Cisco's networks and iOS devices will be optimized to work together. Apple can use this partnership to grow its position in the business market.
Tim Cook, Apple's CEO, was with Cisco Chairman John Chambers at a Cisco event to announce the partnership.
iPhones will also work better with Cisco's collaboration tools, which include videoconferencing products and Cisco's work phones.
The iPhone is already very popular in the enterprise market, but the iPad isn't doing as well as it could. |
