Qualcomm is slowly announcing its chipset lineup for next year. Two new chipsets were announced today in Hong Kong and are aimed at the mid-range phone and tablet markets. The Snapdragon 430 will be available in Q2 2016, while the Snapdragon 617 will launch before the end of 2015.

Snapdragon 617

Snapdragon 617 is the faster of the two and should offer better performance, but still at an affordable price. It supports X8 LTE with Cat 7, meaning you get speeds of up to 200 Mbps down and 100 Mbps up.

There is also support for up to 21 MP camera sensor. Performance-wise, the enhanced Adreno 405 GPU, Hexagon 546 DSP and an octa-core CPU will make it faster than its predecessor.
