Preorders for the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus have begun and Apple says they are set to break the iPhone 6 preorder record set last year. The 2014 first-weekend sales of Apple's last-generation phones reached 10 million. Apple hasn't provided any hard preorder numbers yet.
Apple began taking preorders on Saturday and consumer interest in the phones is being described as "exceptionally strong." The iPhone's early sales are bound to be higher this year because the iPhone 6s will be released on day one in China.
Both the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus are coming out on September 25. A new Rose Gold color is available for the phones and in-store reservations were sold out for that color faster than any other.
