Samsung is set to launch a foldable smartphone early next year, according to a leak that has appeared on Weibo. The smartphone, codenamed Project Valley, is being tested in two different configurations that have different specs. While the specs have appeared online, details about how Project Valley will actually work aren't available.
The phone's configurations include one with a Snapdragon 620 processor and one with a Snapdragon 820 processor. Along with one of those processors, the smartphone is said to come with 3 GB of RAM and a microSD card slot for additional storage.
When it does come out, SamMobile reports the handset may only be available in a select few markets.
Samsung itself has already said foldable smartphones could be possible by 2016. |
