Xiaomi's co-founder and president Mr. Lin Bin, has confirmed the Mi 4c smartphone will be released next week and that there will be two versions. Just hours after that, the company has released a teaser that they are holding an event on September 22.

The Xiaomi Mi 4c has already received TENAA's certification, which confirmed its specs. It has the same design as the Mi 4i, but the changes are made under the hood. Qualcomm's Snapdragon 808 SoC with a hexa-core CPU is now in charge, paired with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage, or 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. 32 GB model will also be available, and will probably have 3 GB of RAM.

The rest of the specs are the same as the Mi 4i, including a 5-inch 1080p display, a 13 MP rear camera, a 5 MP selfie snapper and a 3,120 mAh battery. It runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with Xiaomi's MIUI 7 on top.

The expected price tag is CNY 1,499, or $230, for the 16 GB model.
