As iPhone 6S and 6S Plus have started shipping to its customers, Apple's upcoming chipset is now rumoured to feature more cores than the current A9. The A10 SoC allegedly features six cores build using a 14nm or 10nm manufacturing process by either Samsung or TSMC.
This looks like a logical move, since the new A9 chipset has a very impressive performance in single-core apps, it lacks power in multi-core apps due to having only two cores. For comparison, the fastest Exynos 7420 has eight cores. However, it is the fastest SoC in single-core apps. |
