China-based smartphone vendor OnePlus has stopped marketing and delivery of its smartphones in the Taiwan market, saying the decision was made in consideration of its healthy growth as it is trying to expand its operations to cope with the increasing trend for globalization, according to a company announcement.
However, market analysts indicated that OnePlus has decided to withdraw from the local market due to the vendor's low brand image in Taiwan and lower-than-expected sales.
Consumers who bought OnePlus smartphones on or prior to September 18 will remain under warranty, OnePlus said. |
