Samsung's Exynos chipset, specifically the Exynos 7420, is currently the most powerful mobile SoC. The company had great success with its own chipsets and the upcoming Mongoose is looking even better. To make things even better, Samsung will start developing its own GPUs.

According to leaked roadmap, future Exynos chipsets will employ Heterogeneous System Architecture (HSA), meaning the CPU and GPU will be located on the same bus, sharing the same tasks and memory. The first generation of HAS chipsets will use Mali GPU, but then in 2017 or 2018 Samsung will use its own GPUs. If the GPU can be nearly as good as the CPU, then Qualcomm could have real problems.
