As previously rumoured, Huawei has officially announced a new Honor smartphone. The Honor 5X, very similar name as the new Nexus 5X, is announced in China where it is already available for RMB 999, or around $160. Availability in other markets is currently unknown.

The smartphone features a 5-inch HD display that is powered by a MediaTek MT6735 SoC with a quad-core processor and paired with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of expandable internal memory. It packs a massive 4,000 mAh battery and a 13MP/5MP combo camera. Android 5.1 Lollipop-based EMUI 3.0 comes pre-installed.
