Manufacturing of OnePlus phones is about to begin in India. Through a partnership with Foxconn, the phones will be manufactured in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Local customers will see lower prices as a result of this move. The country's Make In India program, which is meant to bring more manufacturing to India, is helping OnePlus.

Foxconn's facility is going to employ 1000 full time workers and production will start before the end of this year. The facility is around 30,000 sq. ft.

Once it is fully up and running, the plant will build up to 500,000 units per month.
