As we are waiting for the launch of Snapdragon 820, which is in final stages if not in mass production already, Qualcomm slowly starts working on its next-gen flagship chipset. While the Snapdragon 820 is built using 14nm process, the Snapdragon 830 will use even smaller process.

To improve power efficiency and also prevent overheating, which is a big issue on Snapdragon 810, the company will move on to the 10nm process. The company won't use ARM designs, so we guess the chipset will probably have improved Kryo cores. The chipset is rumoured to be manufactured by Samsung, but that won't be known until next year.
