Lenovo is not going to sell the Surface Pro, even though Microsoft specifically asked the company to do so. While speaking at the Canalys Channels Forum, Lenovo COO Gianfranco Lanci mentioned that the company told Microsoft it would not carry Surface Pro products. Lenovo denied Microsoft because it views the Surface Pro as a competitor to its own devices.

While Microsoft and Lenovo are working together in a number of ways, Lanci says Lenovo is "a little bit careful" when it comes to the companies working too closely.

There are also legal concerns for Lenovo to consider. Some of its devices are very similar to Microsoft's and it doesn't want to face any claims of the companies acting in an anti-competitive manner.
