USB Type-C will be used on the Samsung Galaxy S7, according to SamMobile, whose sources have said the phone will not include microUSB like Samsung's existing devices. Since USB-C is clearly superior to microUSB, it only makes sense for Samsung to begin making the transition.
Some of the first phones to include USB-C are the recently launched Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P. Android Marshmallow comes with support for the new standard.
USB-C offers faster charging and data transfer. It can also be plugged in either way, meaning you'll never have to flip around your cord. |
