HP has updated its Chromebook 14 laptop and reduced its price. The Chromebook 14 is now rated to last for nine hours and 15 minutes, compared to eight hours with the last version. It's possible the device will even offer superior performance since HP has switched from a NVIDIA chip to the Intel Celeron N2840.

The new battery life rating applies to the 1,366 x 768 option, but a 1080p display can be picked.

Compared to the last version, this Chromebook 14 is also $50 cheaper at $250. The price goes up to $280 for the 1080p model. It will be available in the United States beginning November 8.
