After being rumoured for a long time, HTC has finally unveiled the One A9 smartphone. The first non-Nexus Android 6.0 smartphone comes with gorgeous all-metal body that is only 7.26 mm thick, has rounded edges and a glass screen, but more importantly it costs only $399.

HTC One A9 looks a lot like the iPhone 6S, but according to the company is as "an evolution of the iconic HTC One family." It features a 5-inch AMOLED 1080p display with 2.5D Gorilla Glass 4 glass and is also the first phone to run Snapdragon 617 chipset, which has an octa-core processor, Adreno 405 GPU and is paired with 2 or 3 GB of RAM, depending on the version.
The rear-facing camera has a 13-megapixel sensor that supports OIS and 1080p video recording, meaning no support for 4K videos. It does support RAW capturing and Hyperlapse (stabilized time-lapse) videos. The 4 MP UltraPixel front camera should be good for decent selfies due to bright f/2.0 aperture.
Other specs include 16 or 32 GB of storage that can be expanded via a microSD card slot, 4G LTE connectivity, a high-power DAC that promise great audio experience, a fingerprint scanner and a 2,150 mAh battery. If you want to charge faster, you'll have to buy a proper 15W HTC charger
HTC One A9 will launch in November in four color options, including Opal Silver, Carbon Grey, Deep Garnet and Topaz Gold. |
