Next-gen mobile chipsets are almost here. The first smartphone with MediaTek's Helio X10 chipset has been announced, Samsung is slowly finalizing its SoC and Qualcomm is expected to launch the Snapdragon 820 by the end of the year, which according to rumours should be really fast.
A recent report from China says the Snapdragon 820 is around 50% more powerful than the Exynos 7420. If that is true, then Qualcomm will be again the king of mobile performance. The only thing that could stop them from having a good chipset is the overheating and throttling problems, which lets hope are the past. |
