Shortly after we first heard about Galaxy On phone lineup, the company went ahead and officially announced the handsets. The two new affordable phones have an attractive design and price tag. The expected retail is around $150 and $200 for the On 5 and On7, respectively.
The Galaxy On5 features a 5-inch HD display and is powered by Exynos 3475 chipset with a quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex-A7 and Mali-T720 GPU, 1.5 GB RAM and 8 Gb of expandable storage. There is an 8 MP rear snapper, a 5 MP selfie unit and a 2,600 mAh battery.
The larger 5.5-inch Galaxy On7 has a 720 TFT display, the same chipset that is clocked lower at 1.2 GHz, and is paired with 1.5 GB of RAM, 8 GB of storage and a 3,000 mAh battery. The rear camera is a 13 MP unit, while the front has a 5 MP sensor.
Both smartphones will soon go on sale in China and shortly after will arrive in India. As for the other markets, there are no details at the moment. |
