Snapdragon 820 is the upcoming high-end chipset from Qualcomm that is expected to power most of the next-gen flagship smartphones. Since its predecessor had overheating issues, there are plenty of rumours that Qualcomm couldn't fix the same issues with Snapdragon 820.

The company has now issued a statement denying all those rumours, saying the overheating issues are no longer a thing. It has also stated that they are still working on the improvements and that a 14nm manufacturing process will be used.

In the past, Qualcomm said there are no overheating issues with the Snapdragon 810, while the real life tests showed different stories so take this with a grain of salt.
