China-based online video service provider LeTV, in a show of ambitions for the smartphone market, has set a shipment goal of 10 million units for the latest smartphone model, Letv 1s, it unveiled on October 27, according to supply chain makers.

Letv 1s will be availabe in the China market at a contract-free retail price of CNY1,099 (US$173) starting November 3, the sources said.

Letv 1s features MediaTek MTK6795T 2.2GHz 8-core processor, Android 5.1, 5.5-inch Full HD display panel, 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM, a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera, fingerprint recognition function.

As its price is lower than competitions with similar specifications, Letv 1s is expected to stimulate significant demand, the sources said, adding the smartphone users will have access to value-added LeTV video content.
