Microsoft has recently released the long-awaited flagship Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL smartphones. While the handsets don't look much like premium smartphones due to not using metal construction, the hardware and software part of the phones is what makes them very good.
Both smartphones come with high-end specifications and according to new reports, Microsoft looks to be satisfied with the performance and is planning to use Qualcomm chips in the future. Apparently at least two flagship smartphones that will be announced by the end of 2016 are being tested with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 chipset.
The report also says the Surface Phone is in the works. The handset will use Intel's chipset with support for win32 apps, enhanced Continuum and will be aimed at businesses. It is expected to arrive in the first half of 2016. |
