Sony might have started the 4K display trend with the Xperia Z5 Premium, and more manufacturers look to follow it. One of them could be Samsung with the Galaxy S7 Premium Edition, which is rumoured to feature a 4K display and will be powered by an improved version of Exynos 8890.
This new version is rumoured to feature Mali-T880 GPU with 14 cores. The standard variant allegedly features 12 cores, while the same GPU is scalable from 1 to as many as 16 cores. The bad news is that the Premium Edition of Galaxy S7 smartphone will be exclusive to South Korea.
As for the launch date, although the handset was rumoured to arrive earlier, that won't be the case. Apparently the company will launch it on February 21, 2016 in Barcelona. |
