Customers in the United States can finally pre-order Microsoft's flagship smartphones. Shortly after AT&T started taking pre-orders of Lumia 950, Microsoft also started taking pre-orders of the bigger Lumia 950 XL, which won't be available from any of the carriers.

The only way to get the XL version is to purchase it unlocked. It is priced at $649 and is available in black or white color options. Those who purchase the Lumia 950 XL will also receive a free Microsoft Display Dock through the Lumia Offers app, while supplies last. The Lumia 950 XL will be shipped by November 25.

The Lumia 950 is currently only available from AT&T wth various Next plans. The cheapest Next 24 plan costs $19.97 per month for 30 months, and those who decide to buy the Surface 3 as well can have it for $399.99.
