During the summer, Gionee has announced two new smartphones, among which is the Marathon M5. Now, the company has announced plans to launch the phone in India next week. The announcement will happen on November 24 at an event in the city of Bengaluru.

If you aren't familiar with the handset, then you'll be interested to read that it has a dual-battery setup, packing a pair of batteries with 3,010 mAh capacity each, for a total of 6,020 mAh. To reduce charging time, there are dual charging chips to charge both batteries at the same time.
