Samsung Electronics will decrease personnel at its Samsung Seoul R&D Campus by as many as two-thirds in order to restructure its business model and operations, according to a new report from ChosunBiz.

Samsung originally aimed to house around 10,000 personnel the report said, adding the vast majority of the decreases will be applied to Samsung's Digital Media & Communication (DMC) and Media Solutions Center (MSC).

The campus will instead house about 3,500 staff who have master and PhD degrees and specialize in software, design and digital media development.
