Apart from announcing new Redmi Note 3 handset, Xiaomi has also announced the new Mi Pad 2 tablet. The new model features an all-aluminum body that is much thinner than the predecessor, but what is more interesting is there are two versions - Android and Windows 10.
Due to running 14nm Intel Atom X5-Z8500 64-bit processor, the company has decided to offer Windows 10 version as well, which will be much appreciated. Furthermore, both versions cost the same, but the Windows 10 only comes with 64 GB of storage that is priced at RMB 1,299 ($200). The 16 GB model is only available for Android and costs RMB 999 ($155).
The tablet features a 7.9-inch display with 2,048 x 1,536 pixels resolution, 2 GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixels on the front. Due to thinner design, there is a smaller 6,190 mAh battery, compared to the 6700 mAh on the previous model. |
