Qualcomm has only recently announced its next-gen flagship chipset and the rumours about its successor has emerged online. According to first rumours, the Snapdragon 830 chipset will support up to 8 GB of RAM, which is just too much for any smartphone in our opinion.

That doesn't necessary mean we'll see smartphones with that much RAM memory, but at least there is support for it. The chipset will have a model number MSM8998 and could be manufactured using a 10nm process. Projects like Continuum are the only thing that could justify this amount of memory.
