According to British multinational banking and financial services firm HSBC, TSMC will be the exclusive manufacturer for its next-gen SoC. Its predecessor, the A9 chipset, is manufactured by both TSMC and Samsung, while the A10 chip will be manufactured only by TSMC.
The report also suggests that the A10 chipset will go into mass production sometime in March next year. The A10 chipset will translate into $300 million in sales for the Taiwanese chip maker in a year, while the overall revenue for the company should increase by around 8% in 2016. |
