The waiting is finally over. Samsung has officially announced next-gen Galaxy A series of smartphones. At first, the 2016 edition of Galaxy A3, Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7 will be available only in China, starting in mid-December, while the global rollout will start in 2016. As for the pricing, there are no details at the moment.

Galaxy A3

The smallest of three, the Galaxy A3, features a 4.7-inch Super AMOLED display with 720p resolution. Almost every segment has been improved over its predecessor, but some things are the same. It has a quad-core processor, paired with 1.5 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage. The rear camera is a 13 MP unit, while the front is 5 MP. The battery is now a 2,300 mAh unit.

Galaxy A5

The middle member of the lineup comes with a 5.2-inch 1080p display, an octa-core Samsung processor, with the same amount of RAM and storage, 2 GB and 16 GB, respectively. The battery is a 2,900 mAh battery, while the camera department is the same as the Galaxy A3. Unlike the smaller model, the home button features fingerprint scanner.

Galaxy A7

The biggest out of three packs a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display with 1080p resolution. There is an octa-core processor paired with 3 GB of RAM and 16 GB and it has the biggest 3,300 mAh battery. The front camera combo is the same as the Galaxy S6, while the rear is a 13 MP unit.
