Acer has reported consolidated revenues of NT$23.38 billion (US$719 million) for November, growing 6.07% on month but declining 17.93% on year. Its January-November consolidated revenues totaled NT$240.9 billion, slipping 19.93% on year.
Acer pointed out that the on-month growth was mainly because of back-to-school demand and shipments for the year-end holidays.
However, since the company is currently in the middle of a business transformation and is still adjusting its product lines, it was still unable to achieve on-year growth for the November sales.
Acer is now focusing more on high-gross margin product lines such as gaming device and is hoping to boost its EPS by creating more efficient marketing plans and better product mix.
Acer has hosted several gaming events in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Indonesia since early November and will also host them in China and Malaysia to promote its Predator gaming brand. |
