As promised before, BlackBerry has reported its latest quarterly earnings and after months of financial struggle, the company has finally reported revenue growth. Shortly after, BlackBerry has confirmed that a new handset is in the pipeline, which will be cheaper than the Priv. We are probably looking at a mid-range handset, but at this moment we have no details about it.

As for the earnings reports, BlackBerry revealed that more than 700,000 units of the Priv have been sold during the quarter and that the number might be even bigger since the handset is coming to 31 additional markets in the next few months.

The Canadian smartphone maker posted revenues of $548 million, marking a 12% rise on last quarter, but still 31% down compared to the same period last year.
