Memory module maker Adata Technology has announced that revenues for December grew 14.1% sequentially to NT$3.07 billion (US$105 million), ending a 2-month streak of on-month drops. Revenues for the fourth quarter were NT$8.63 billion, down 16.9% on quarter.
But revenues for the whole of 2010 rose 18.4% to NT$41.26 billion, hitting the highest in three years.
Due to plunging DRAM prices, the proportion of DRAM module sales in Adata's overall revenues slid to 42% in the fourth quarter from 61% in the third, the Chinese-language Commercial Times cited the company as indicating. Sales of DRAM modules decreased 42.45% on quarter to NT$3.62 billion, the company said, as quoted by the paper.
However, Adata was cited as revealing that sales of NAND flash devices and other non-DRAM products increased 22.55% sequentially to NT$5.01 billion in the fourth quarter. The segment accounted for 58% in the fourth quarter, up from 39% in the third.
