Transcend Information has introduced a new portfolio of flash memory drives, the JetFlash 700, which the company is demonstrating at CES 2011 in Las Vegas. The drive uses Innostor's USB 3.0 storage controller, delivering 10 times the transfer rate of USB 2.0.
Innostor is an affiliate of Taiwan-based IC design service provider Faraday Technology, specializing in USB 3.0 device controllers for flash drives and embedded memory products.
The new Transcend JetFlash 700 series provides data transfer rates of up to 69MB/s, and is available in capacities of 8GB, 16GB and 32GB. Prices range from NT$980 (US$33.53) to NT$2,880, according to the company.
Transcend previously launched USB 3.0-certified external hard drives, the StoreJet 25D3 and StoreJet 25M3 series.
Fellow memory module company Adata Technology is also showcasing its product lineup including an ultra-fast SSD compatible with the new Sandy Bridge platform, high-performance XPG DRAM modules, power supplies and USB 3.0 storage products.
