The next set of Tizen smart televisions from Samsung will be harder to hack, Samsung has announced. Gaia, a new security product, will be found in the 2016 range of TVs and it will act a bit like Knox in the way it protects users. Among the included features are an anti-malware system, encryption for data being sent out, and PIN protection for credit card info.
Physical encryption chips will ship with the TVs, which should improve the security of a TV's microphone and webcam.
Samsung is also going to include more smart home features in its upcoming flagship TV models. |
