Memory module maker Transcend Information saw December revenues rise 7.4% sequentially to NT$3.03 billion (US$104 million). The growth was driven by more stable prices for NAND flash-related products, and rising DDR3 module shipments, according to the company.
Transcend revealed sales of memory cards and other flash devices climbed 8.8% on month to NT$1.98 billion in December. Meanwhile, DRAM modules generated NT$488 million, up from the NT$439 million posted in November.
NAND flash products accounted for 65.5% of Transcend's total revenues in December, compared to 64.6% in the prior month. The proportion of DRAM-module sales also increased to 16.1% from 15.6% in November. The remainder came from Transcend's non-memory products including digital photo frames and portable electronics devices.
For all of 2010, Transcend's revenues slid 5.9% on year to NT$31.45 billion.
Fellow memory module company Adata Technology earlier announced revenues grew 14.1% on month to NT$3.07 billion in December 2010. Revenues for the whole year totaled NT$41.26 billion, up 18.4% from the 2009 level.
