During last week, we have learned that Xiaomi plans to launch a new flagship smartphone next month. That news was confirmed by the company's Senior VP Wanqiang Li said last week, while today the co-founder Liwan Jiang has also confirmed the similar date.

The flagship Xiaomi Mi 5, which will arrive in two different versions, will be announced in February, after the Chinese Spring Festival, which falls on February 8. After the announcement, the handset will go on sale only a week later and Foxconn is working overtime to ensure enough amount of devices at launch.
