Acer founder Stan Shih, at a recent event, praised Acer for doing good work and pointed out that although Acer has seen its revenues drop, it still managed to stay profitable.
As many PC brand vendors have been looking to transform their businesses, Shih pointed out Acer has already been working on transforming into a provider of solutions that integrate hardware, software and services and Shih hopes that investors and market watchers can be patient with Acer.
Shih also believes CEO Jason Chen's team has performed well by remaining profitable.
Commenting on the results of Taiwan's presidential election, Shih believes that the new ruling team, IT companies and academia should meet and reach agreements for the future coordination so the development of the IT industry will not stop because of political party changes. |
