Apple has been rumoured to announce a successor to the iPad Air 2 during the 1H16. The iPad Air 3 was already rumoured to pack an LED flash on the back, a feature that none of the previous iPad models had, as well as four speakers, which can be found only on iPad Pro.

Reports claim that the new iPad Air 3 will go into mass production in the second quarter of 2016. There will be several models and one of the models will ship with a 4K-resolution screen and 4 GB of RAM. Due to 4:3 aspect ratio, the exact resolution should be around 4,096 x 3,072 pixels (DCI standard) or 3,840 x 2,880 (UHD-1 standard).
