A Chinese consumer electronics company primarily known for manufacturing domestic appliances has just announced a new high-end smartwatch at the MWC 2016 in Barcelona. The biggest difference over other premium watches is it uses custom Android 6.0 Marshmallow-based ROM.
The Haier Watch is built using a 316L stainless steel 42mm casing that houses a round 1.4-inch display with 400 x 400 pixels resolution, Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity option paired with 8 GB of storage. Unfortunately, there are no Wi-Fi or NFC connectivities, but there is integrated speaker and microphone instead. It is due for release in April with a price tag of €199. |
