Vivo has finally officially announced its flagship smartphone, the Vivo Xplay 5. Most of the rumours were true, as there are not many changes in the official specs. As expected from the flagship phone, it packs high-end specs with premium metal body design and other features.

It comes in two variants - one with Snapdragon 820 SoC and 6 GB of RAM, while the other variant packs octa-core Snapdragon 652 SoC and 4 GB of RAM. The rest of the specs are the same and include a 5.43-inch dual curved edge Quad HD Super AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla glass protection, a 16-megapixel rear camera with Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF), an 8-megapixel front-facing camera a 3,600 mAh battery with dual-charging chip and dual-SIM support.

Another difference between the two variants is the high-end version has ES9028 DAC and TI's OPA1612 amplifier for better audio output. Both variants will be available in Champagne Gold and Rose Gold colors. The base model is priced at 3,698 Yuan ($565), while the high-end model costs 4,288 Yuan ($650).
