Besides the upcoming Galaxy A9 Pro smartphone, which will be part of the more affordable A-series of smartphones, Samsung is also working on two new budget Galaxy J smartphones. The Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7, both 2016 edition, are now listed on TENAA's website.

The Chinese regulatory authority TENAA has earlier today released its certifications for the Oppo R9 and R9 Plus, Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro and now the upcoming Galaxy J5 (2016) and Galaxy J7 (2016).
The Galaxy J5 (2016) is smaller one, featuring a 5.2-inch 720p Super AMOLED display, compared to the 5.5-inch 1080p display on the Galaxy J7 (2016). The biggest improvement over its predecessors is the laser autofocus. Both models have the same 13 MP rear and 5 MP front cameras and LED flash.
The Galaxy J7 has two versions, one that is powered by a 1.6 GHz octa-core processor, and the other by an unknown octa-core processor with four cores clocked at 1.5 GHz, and other four cores clocked at 1.2 GHz. The rest of the specs include 3 GB of RAM, 16 GB of expandable internal memory and only a 3,300 mAh battery. The other model packs a quad-core 1.2 GHz one, paired with only 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of expandable storage space. Both run Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and have LTE connectivity. |
