Some suppliers in Taiwan's handset supply chain are benefiting from strong smartphone sales of China-based channeled-TV operator LeTV.
LeTV is expected to be able to ship 20 million smartphones in the China market in 2016, beating established brands such as ZTE and Coolpad, according to industry sources.
LeTV has managed to ship more than six million units of the LeTV 1s, its first smartphone, and may ramp up shipments of the single model to 10 million units by June 2016, the sources added.
Related chip suppliers including MediaTek and Goodix and ODM maker Compal Electronics have landed more orders from LeTV, indicated the sources. |
