For quite some time, we haven't seen any new Google Chromebook devices. Although a great alternative to more expensive Windows PCs, the Google's Chromebook Pixel still had some big flaws that prevented it from competing head to head with other notebooks.

If you are purchasing expensive Chromebook, then you would expect to get high-end specs. The Chromebook Pixel was at first priced at $1,299, but was then cut to a more affordable $999. Still, a high price for Chromebook, which only featured so-so specs.

According to new rumours, Google is working on a more powerful, 2nd gen Chromebook Pixel that features 16 GB of RAM, an Intel Skylake processor, and a backlit keyboard.
