Toshiba is moving away from its consumer laptop business and it will now be focused on selling computers to businesses in markets like Europe and the US. Japan is the only market where it will continue to sell consumer PCs. Toshiba's shift towards more expensive enterprise-ready models highlights the company's difficult time in the laptop market.

All of the company's remaining international stock is still going to be sold and existing consumer laptop warranties are unaffected by this change.

The company is said to be exploring a potential deal with other laptop makers, so its exact future in the PC market is still unclear.

Its new plan comes after Toshiba revealed it would be restructuring its PC business over a year ago. This move to the business market may allow Toshiba to become profitable soon and it believes B2B sales will increase in fiscal year 2016, which kicks off on April 1.
