The Chinese company Vivo has just officially unveiled the long rumoured X6S and X6S Plus smartphones. As its predecessors, the new smartphones come with the same chassis and color options, while the changes were made inside them with better hardware.

Both phones feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 that replaced the old MediaTek MT6752 chipset. Another improvement is the new 16-megapixel sensor with fast phase detection autofocus. The last upgrade is the better audio hardware. The X6S comes with an AKM4375 32-bit DAC, and the bigger X6S Plus has the same ES9028 DAC within a YAMAHA YSS-205X audio processor as the one used in the Vivo X5Max.

The phones will begin shipping on April 5, priced at CNY 2598 ($400) for the X6S and CNY 2,998 ($470) for the X6S Plus.
