Asustek Computer and Acer are seeing increasing sales of their LCD monitors with Asustek dominating in the gaming sector and enjoying over 30% growth in Europe in 2015, while Acer is leading in North America and is a top-three vendor in the Asia Pacific, according to sources from channel retailers.

Currently, the worldwide top-five LCD monitor brand vendors are Dell, AOC/Philips, Hewlett-Packard (HP), Lenovo and Samsung Electronics, followed by Acer, Asustek, BenQ and ViewSonic.

Although Asustek is still no match against the first-tier vendors in the desktop LCD monitor sector, the Taiwan-based vendor's strong brand recognition in the gaming market has significantly helped its gaming monitor sales and contribute good profits.

Despite the fact that the PC monitor market continues to suffer declines, Asustek's monitor shipments have been enjoying growth for the past 10 years and had a 30% overall on-year growth in Europe. The company saw strong shipment growths in Germany, France and Spain in the year.

Asustek has been the largest monitor vendor in Taiwan for many years and has a market share of nearly 30%. To satisfy market demand, Asustek will continue to strengthen its gaming monitor design and specifications.

Acer also sees strong performance in the monitor market. In addition to become the largest vendor in North America, it is also the leading player in Thailand, the Philippines and Malaysia, ranking the third largest in Asia Pacific with an on-year shipment growth of 26% in 2015.
