HP has a new logo and it's a lot different from its more well-known one. The logo comes out of a redesign project which began in 2011, but when the design was first proposed, HP didn't run with it. A recent resurrection of the project has resulted in the logo, which showed up for the first time on HP's new Spectre 13 laptop.

It's a minimalist logo, featuring four lines of varying lengths configured to spell out "HP." The company says this design will only be used on its premium laptops.

Moving Brands, a creative company, has worked with HP since 2008 and it proposed the logo in 2011.
