MediaTek saw its March consolidated revenues grow 61% on month and 4.6% on year to NT$21.337 billion (US$657.61 million), the highest level in five months.

For the first quarter of 2016, revenues totaled NT$55.905 billion, down 9.4% from the previous quarter but up 17.6% from a year earlier. First-quarter figures met the company's guidance of NT$52.5-57.4 billion set for the quarter.

The company's stock price gained NT$2.50 or 1.09% to close at NT$230 on the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TSE) during the April 11 session.
