At Intel Developer Forum (IDF) Shenzhen 2016, several brand vendors including Huawei, TCL, Samsung Electronics and India-based Micromax, have showcased their latest 2-in-1 devices. Sources from the upstream supply chain believe that the competition in the 2-in-1 device market will grow fiercer in 2016 as more China-based white-box makers are developing new 2-in-1 products with Intel's assistance.
The sources expect demand for 2-in-1 devices to reach around 20 million units in 2016 and players' aggressive marketing is likely to result in a price competition.
Meanwhile, Micro-Star International (MSI) has also showcased its gaming notebook models, while Razer has exhibited its gaming notebook co-developed with China-based BYD. China-based Colorful has also joined the gaming notebook competition with its advantages in China's graphics card market. In 2016, gaming notebook shipments are expected to reach five million units. |
