Last year, Apple had pretty strong notebook lineup to compete with, but for 2016 the company is looking to introduce redesigned MacBooks. The new "ultra thin" MacBooks could be announced during the upcoming Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC).

The new notebooks are rumoured to feature a new display hinge design to reduce the thickness and achieve "ultra thin" design. To achieve that, the company will use metal injection mold-made hinges. The metal injection molding is a metalworking process used to create very small metal pieces, which are typically used for smartphones and other small devices.
