LG's G5 and V10 smartphones have been certified by the US government as compliant with the international Common Criteria security standard. With the certification, the US has signaled they're safe to use in enterprise and military settings. Though it's older, the G4 has also just been certified.
Testing was completed by the National Information Assurance Partnership (NIAP). It gave its approval for the phones on April 14. NIAP's approval applies to AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, and Verizon G5/G4 models running Android 6.0.1 (MMB29M) and Android 6.0 (MRA58K).
As for the LG V10, the certification applies to AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon models running Android 6.0 (MRA58K).
LG's GATE security technology appears to have been a factor in the approval. It offers "enhanced platform, network, and application security that allow[s] for secure, reliable access to enterprise data."
